Second Annual Beau Thai Ball Raises Over $116,000 for CHOP Cardiac Care
At Beau Truesdale Wedding Venues, bringing people together has always been at the heart of everything we do. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, that mission came to life in the most meaningful way as we proudly hosted the Second Annual Beau Thai Ball at The Mill Lakeside Manor, an unforgettable evening that raised $116,057 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Cardiac Center Innovation Fund.
Held in partnership with Loving Lucy for CHOP Cardiac Care, the sold-out gala brought together family, friends, and an incredibly supportive community united by one purpose: honoring Beau Truesdale’s legacy while supporting lifesaving cardiac care for children and families who need it most.
Honoring Beau’s Legacy
The Beau Thai Ball was created in memory of Beau Truesdale, whose passion for hospitality, community, and giving back continues to guide our family and our venues every day. Beau had a rare gift for making people feel seen and celebrated, and that spirit filled every corner of the ballroom throughout the night.
Inspired by Beau’s love of Thailand and Muay Thai, the evening reflected his adventurous spirit and generous heart, blending celebration, remembrance, and purpose into one powerful experience.
Guests enjoyed a lively cocktail-hour-style reception featuring a silent auction, wine grab, and live music by Brian Kirk & The Jirks, whose energy set the tone for a night full of connection, storytelling, and shared impact. What made the evening truly special wasn’t just the atmosphere, but the collective commitment to turning love and remembrance into action.
Supporting Loving Lucy & CHOP Cardiac Care
Loving Lucy for CHOP Cardiac Care was founded by Mike and Dana Perito, who tied the knot at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ (one of Beau Truesdale Wedding Venues). They shared their daughter Lucy’s story: she underwent her first open-heart surgery at just three days old. Thanks to the extraordinary care she received at CHOP, Lucy is now a thriving, healthy 2½-year-old. When the Peritos approached us about hosting a fundraiser, our entire venue family came together to make the Second Annual Beau Thai Ball a benefit for the lifesaving work CHOP does for families across our region.
“The generosity of the Truesdale family and Beau Truesdale Wedding Venues means more than we can put into words. Hosting this entire night and bringing this community together will have a lasting impact on families like ours,” said Dana Perito, Lucy’s mom.
With 100% of proceeds benefiting CHOP’s Cardiac Center Innovation Fund, this year’s event nearly doubled last year’s total, a testament to what is possible when a community comes together with heart.
